Well, thats kind of the idea.... if men can't keep their urges to themselves, then they frankly deserve this and more....

I wonder why this was dug up again anyway? just because of the world cup having started and already missed the boat?

Looking for dates, it was 2007 that this story first hit the news, complete with the same pictures currently being used, and it was the same time as the flamethrowers on the side of the car stuff.

I guess someone at CNN has had a boring sunday so decided to dig up some "South Africa is a crime hell" story.

No use having them there, if a horrible incident occurs you have to go find your otter, then hope he hasn't got a hole in his pocket.

If I had an otter I'd just set it on the rapist.... they can be nasty little buggers!

Say there's a gang of them.

A device like that isn't going to help. (Whereas an Uzi just might.)

I saw one in 1983 at the cinema.

Ok, so a rapist is doing what he does best and ends up with one of these stuck to his old chap.

What would he do? Run away or murder her?

st idea.

I concur. Her face is the perfect anti-rape device

With multiple rows of spikes dug into his cock I doubt he'd be capable of doing either!

Old idea. Features in "Snow Crash" by Neal Stephenson (1992) and undoubtedly goes back a lot further than that.

Did the doctor not think that the rapist may not go for the "otters pocket" he may decide to use the back door, in which case would escape unscathed.

Can anyone else see this thing being abused by scorned women who want revenge on a cheating boyfriend?...OUCH!!

"Yes, my device may be a medieval, but it's for a medieval deed that has been around for decades," she said. "I believe something's got to be done ... and this will make some men rethink before they assault a woman."

Decades? Really? And I thought rape was just a 1980's craze.

Dumb people have dumb ideas. News at eleven.
