Canada - Vancouver and Toronto
Discussion
My OH and me are getting married next sat 26th and on the monday 28th we are heading to Vancouver for our Honeymoon. We normally go camping somewhere in England but thought we would splash out as it's a special occasion.
We are staying in Vancouver for 4 days, then jumping onto the Rocky Mountaineer to Calgary, then driving to Lake Louise for another four days before driving back to Vancouver with a stop in Lac Le Jeune for the night. We then fly to Toronto for a long weekend before flying home. Lucky us!
Questions??? Just a couple... What do you recommend doing in Vancouver, we are planning on going to Grouse mountain and Granville market is there anything else anyone would recommend? Can you suggest any good fish restaurants? What kind of weather can we expect when we head to Lake Louise? Anything you suggest doing whilst we are there? I appreciate its a very open ended question, any suggestions will be taken on board.
There is just one consideration to bear in mind. My partner is a wheelchair user so not to many steep hills or lots of stairs please.... (I can do a few, I normally give her a piggy back!!!)

I spent 9 weeks in Vancouver in Feb/March this year, it's a great city, gets better the longer you stay there. However, make sure you take your waterproofs, the weather is quite changeable as it's a coastal city.
Obviously, a wheelchair will dictate some of your choices, but Stanley Park is worth a look, nice aquarium there too. It's walkable from the city centre if you're feeling energetic (about an hour, ish), but there are buses too.
Sophies cafe is a nice little kitsch diner out on 4th Avenue, nice food (and plenty of it), http://www.sophiescosmiccafe.com/.
Lake Louise is a mountain region, so the weather is whatever it feels like being on the day. We saw it at around this time 5 years ago, the weather couldn't have been better, it's a lovely place though.

I live in Southern Alberta, just south of Calgary. If you are driving to Lake Louise I highly recommended that you to to Banff. It is on the way and a must see. Great place to stop for lunch and a walk around the townsite. Google Earth and streetview it. Lake Louise is stunning and the weather should be good. We have just finished having torrential rains, June is our rainiest month normally. If I can offer any more info, email me.
Congratulations by the way!!
