I'm not sure if this has already been all arranged,
But The TVR Challenge is racing at Mallory on the Sunday about 40 miles away, so not sure if any of you want to make the trip over and watch some wedges on the Track, should have 4 or 5 wedges on the track including mine.

Well its always only been listed for the 18, plus the other 3 races have all turned out to be just the Sunday, but it's not 100% been confirmed.
If you want to help again I'll send you a ticket.

Hiya - as Leigh says Mallory is just the Sunday. We'll be there with the rear end fixed - Peters go this time!

That's an interesting idea. Leigh do you know what time you're racing? What time is qually?

Also you have no excuse for not popping up to BBWF now!!! You could stay on the Friday night and catch the morning action. And show us all the racer up close!

No idea of time table yet, will try and get the racer down, depends on when my brother is free, also depends if there is practice on Friday or Saturday and if I'm doing it. at least the car does not need any work doing to it.

I just emailed the course and I quote "I wondered if you have a segregated parking area that clubs etc can use (that is safe from the racers wanting to nick parts off our cars)"

;^)

Right - have just spoken to the Mallory manager John Ward and he'll do us entry for a tenner per person if you quote BBWF.

We can have a roped-off area for the cars, I just need to know rough numbers in advance. He seemed quite keen on this idea (gives the other punters something to gawk at...)

The quali is 10:45 (probably a bit early for some of us ;^) first TVR race is 14:15 and second race is 16:20.

So - does this sound like a good destination for the Sunday run-out? The plan would be to drive over there (scenic route) then either head to the course or descend on a pub for lunch (what do you think?) getting into the course by 1:30-1:45 if pub first. I wonder if we could swing a parade lap if we get there for lunch?

Let me know if this sounds good or you'd prefer something a bit different?

Yes - brekkie finishes at 10am, so me and the missus usually surface around 945 ;^)

I then proceed to sweat profusely while downing about 15 coffees followed by the fry-up.

C'mon then boy(o)s and girls, is it to be Mallory on Sunday, or something more sedate? Let's see those replies!

Sounds like a plan to me, count me in (pub first)

If I can solve my current issues re: getting to BBWF then Mallory sounds good.

Have meant to watch the wedges & Leigh race

JJ - we didn't get any real ale this year - not enough interest (you weren't coming...;^)

So as I have seen no dissenters and some mild interest for the racing I'll plan a route over and find a decent pub for lunch. It's mostly up the Fosse Way so quite easy.

I'll assume 20 cars to inform the course to arrange a segregated parking area and ETA of 1345, and also let them know that there may be a few over early for qually.

How to get there, and then to the circuit:

... and a nice map for you to print out...

Let me know if you're coming as early as possible and I'll start booking tables at the pub.
