I have had another thought which won't come to fruition but if you'd like to entertain this..

an early s1 elise is just about insurable as a 'classic' right? so that's good if it's be a' weekend car'.

so that got me thinking 'what colour would i look for?'. I think red and yellow will be important colours for 'classic value' but i like blue. did they do any sort of bright none metallic blue (like they did on the vx220?).

so far i have remembered:

  • ubiquitous (but very nice) azure aka ford imperial blue;
  • rarish nautilous blue which to my eyes is a bit miserable; or,
  • a sort of light pensioner blue (like a metallic gulf/baby blue) which i kind of like but i am sure only later/111s cars came in that(..?)

Nautilus is nice too but there are probably 10x more Azure blues out there.

Nice enough, but a stonechip is a bugger - the fibreglass under it shows up as white/offwhite.

Armourfend (or your favourite alternative 3m film) to the ready!
