the car isnt 100% finished yet,its got an oil leak,so the engine has to come out again, and once thats done,i have to get it trailered down to my nearest rolling road for mapping, which happens to be 200 miles away!!
i think i will fit in just perfect here though,as i really am obsessed with cars!!

any questions/requests for pics, dont be afraid to ask, same goes for criticisms,i want to hear all and honest opinions!

'Ponks' http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Both worth a look at when you get time biggrin

Car looks great Graham! I had a White 306 Rallye in 2007, miss it still and have no idea why I sold it.

If you ever want any pictures taken (free of charge) I'm up in the highlands quite often (live in the central belt. I would love to get some pictures of the car - you would get to keep them all, purely to boost my portfolio smile

my link is on my profile.

Anyway.... Love the car and what you have done to itsmile

Hi from babybmwbyebye

The rallye looks great, I'd really like one of these, my first car was a 306 and it was great fun on roundabouts.

hey mate!!go on,buy yourself one, youll never regret doing it(aslong as you learn to expect something to break everytime you start it)!!lol!

lift off oversteer rocks, solid beam mounts are next on the list of mods, will make it so much more controllable going sideways!!lol!

right then,i thought it was time i updated this thread, plans have changed substantially!!

when i got the car on the road last year,on its first drive, the thermostat siezed shut, the car overheated and cooked itself,so that was the end of that!!

so i decided to place a call to my good friend and all round peugeot engine genious Sandy Brown, who agreed to take my old lump, and make it reliable,so i shipped it off to cornwall for a little holiday!
since it arrived there, things have snowballed from a simple rebuild into a full scale, all out spec change for the car,and it still hasnt been fully settled on,sandy thinking of doing a bit of development on my engine, things he hasnt tried before, and to say im excited is an understatement!!
i cant say too much about it all,but its an all steel bottom end, including crank, custom modified head by sandy brown, with solid lifters, one piece stainless steel valves, which combined means a rev limit of 8500 rpm!!!!included with this is a new throttle body set up,incorporating an 8 injector set up,and a new custom designed exhaust manifold to maximise the output!!
since theres going to be a serious increase in power, ive now had to completely change the spec of everything else on the car,and have started gathering all the required parts, all with reliability and performance in mind,so heres a few pics to tickle your tastebuds.........

my new brakes, renault megane f1 brembo calipers, custom brackets and bells to suit 310x28 rotors.these will still fit inside a motorsport 16" wheel-just!

mocal laminova oil to water heat exchanger and associated parts

lockable aerocatch bonnet pins

SPA dash unit,i needed a rev counter that went higher than 8k,and couldnt find one that would suit the dash,so i opted for the complete dash unit as its a trick piece of kit, with colour changing rev counter needle, calibratated speedo, fuel level, and 4 pressure/temperature channels, along with all the MOT required warning lights for alternator, indicators, brakes etc....

trick radiator, its for a 205,but its perfect for my requirements, its only about 220mm high so that i can get the air straight into the throttle bodies, without being interrupted....

will keep you updated with things as they progress now,its all starting to come together finally!!!hope you like!!!!

That looks to be a bit of a weapon, and I love it in the red

You are also an utter legend with your wheel choice, I was looking for wheels for my Ibiza and completely forgot about these Until I seen the thread.

thats a cracking spec mate and a great car, i had 3 GTi6's. Favourite being my phase 1 that was cammed, bit of headwork etc and fully stripped out. Was a real flying machine and embarassed lots of much more expensive machinery
