Fairly frequently, the sound gets out of sync on my sky box.
If I watch an HD recording from an SD channel it happens pretty much every time. If I start from an HD channel it rarely happens.
At times, like now, whatever I do whether watching a recording or live HD it's out of sync. The only thing that works is unplugging the fecking thing and starting again.
Before I start the extensive queuing and gibberish from the 'help line', does anyone else suffer with this?

Are you utilising the optical output for surround?

If so, theres a delay in the settings.

Somewhere between 90ms and 120ms is about right.

Nope. It's just the HDMI cable straight to the telly.
It's worse if I use the (separate) surround sound system but as you say, at least that's tweakable.

Aye, mine does this from time to time. Like so many things, a reboot of the box normally sorts it out. Isn't it marvellous being part of Sky's ongoing beta test programme? rolleyeshehe

Yup its pretty standard for sky, you can normally get it back by switching channels then go back to the one you are watching.
