I thought that cars after March 01 were going to be taxed higher with the highest rate around £450 starting this / next yr.

However recently this seems to have changed and Pre 06 cars seem to only have a maximum of £215.

Is that right, when were the changes announced ?

Thanks

This happened ages ago!

Cars registered between 01/03/01 - 01/03/06 top rate of tax is £245.

In that case there must be a lot of out of date websites as I was looking for a Grand Cherokee 4.7 V8 around Christmas and when I checked the websites (I think it was DVLA and A Trader) said that 01 models were going up to £450ish in 2010.

I just checked for Monaros and saw max £215 hence the post.

Cheers

Got my reminder yesterday, down to £110/yr

That's 44p per "horse" smile which i think may be some sort of record for smugness

You're a day early. If the new government's "tax rises" in tomorrow's budget don't hammer the motorist again I'll be staggered!
