We have been having no joy selling our flat and we are thinking of going multiple agency. Can anyone give me any advice on this before we start getting the wheels in motion.

For example, how many estate agencies should we appoint? Any what happens on rightmove.co.uk as we don't want our flat listed multiple times...?

First look carefully at why it's not selling.

What are the current agents doing to market it? (Listings on the main search sites? Printed materials? For Sale board?).

Have you had viewings? How many? Any 2nds? What feedback has been received?

You may find that going with another agent doesn't help matters at all depending on the answers to the above...

If you have a search on Primelocation etc, you'll see quite a few properties listed several times by different agents. Goes with the territory of having multiple agents.

You'll also pay higher fees.

Each agent will sit back and think that they can collect their share of the fees whilst the other agent(s) does the work resulting on no-one trying hard to sell for you.
