MW2 Barebones Playlists - no killstreaks!

Just uploaded two new playlists to Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer that allow you to play public matches with no Killstreaks in a variety of game modes. This update is currently available on Xbox Live, and will be coming to PC and Playstation 3 alongside the Resurgence Package DLC the week of July 6th. The exact details of each new playlist are below:

Barebones Pro:

Play Team Deathmatch and Free-for-All. All Killstreak rewards are disabled.

Players: 4-8

• Xbox LIVE Party Chat allowed

Objective Barebones Pro:

Play Domination, Demolition, HQ Pro, and Capture the Flag. All Killstreaks rewards are disabled.

Players: 8-12

• Xbox LIVE Party Chat allowed.

Was just about to make a new topic about this. It's a good start by 402, But it isn't what proper barebones should be. Barebones should be no killstreaks or perks and gun attachments. Basically really barebones.

Hope they realise this and patch it by the time it comes to psn.

I would enjoy that, all skill with no help from the game.

Yeah. But they shouldn't call it barebones if it isn't?

People have been asking for barebones for months now and they didn't do it right. So expect youtube etc to go mad Doesn't particularly bother me too much, Just saying.

It's not a case of relying on them - everyone has access to the same gear, it's about learning what works for you and exploiting it.

Although I would be really happy with no Commando noobs running around, in that case I would agree with you!

Sound great without the killstreaks, not sure about full barebones as everything with iron sights and stock, although fun would become boring. The fact that there are no choppers / airstrikes / nukes etc should make it lots more interesting and make it all about your shooting ability.

Sounds good to me. My strategy is about rushing, so I tend to get a decent k/d but my streaks are not very long. (I use UAV/CareP/Pred, or UAV/CareP/Harrier if feeling lucky!)

It's annoying when there's other people camping and getting far fewer kills than me, but they do it all in one streak and then use killstreak rewards to overtake me.

This new playlist should hopefully allow for me to perform better than most people, as I've adopted this strategy all along.

Makes a totally different game and you may need to change your settings to accomodate, lots of running around or just camping.
