Put it this way, my 3L V6 is returning the same & i don't hang around!

It's broken, I get better from the stty 1.8 Duratec in my Mondeo, mostly town driving.

Check you don't have a soft tyre, or a binding brake.

When I got my Mondeo, one front brake was rusted solid, so I was only getting 19mpg.

You should smell that, or i did when it happened on my old car, thought the clutch was going until i got near the rear wheel!!
