I need an addition set of locking wheel nuts.

Where is the best place to purchase these?

Get them from any BMW Dealership - they are only about £40 - £45.

BMW now do a new version which are made by McGard and are the same as the best McGard ones you can buy, but black, not silver. They've got the spinning collar etc....... think they were called McGard Ultimate.

Just search eBay for McGuard, there are a couple of eBay shops that sell them to fit all models.

I've just got 2 sets and cost approx £30 each set (can't remember if postage was extra).

Cheers Jon, I recognise your name from the Z3MC forums. Will check on eGay.

Regarding the BMW ones, the fact that BMW have 'master keys' at every dealership I would imagine these have got into the wrong hands over time.

They have definitely got into the wrong hands, I had the wheels stolen off my car last year. I know they werent forced off because they kindly left me the BMW locking bolts but took the normal ones, thats how much the thieves thought of them!

I bought my Mcgards from mapsltd, picked pretty much the cheapest place I could find including ebay although this was a year ago, was just over £30 with delivery.

Why is no one listening to me?

The BMW ones have changed to the McGard Ultimate locks, just repainted black and put in a BMW box.

They are not like the old BMW locking bolts that had ten master keys.

The current one have THOUSANDS and the dealers dont have any master keys.

If you bargain with your BMW dealer, you can get them down to £28 and they're black, which means they'll match the other bolts, where most of the McGard Ultimate you buy online are in chrome/silver.

Rant over. wink

Yup. That's the old designs that BMW don't sell anymore. They were rubbish. You could undo them with a screwdriver........
