no power steering ... any idea's?

I have no power steering which makes things a bit tricky, fluid level is full. Any idea's?

i am getting arms like Arnold Swartzenegger at the minute. Strange thing is that is is very very heavy at low speeds but doesn't give any feedback at higher speeds, its as though there is a slight movement without any responce then you have to force it as if you are driving in grooves in the tarmac.

This happened to me. The problem was that the power steering belt had somehow come adrift and was all chewed up. Belt and pump pulley were replaced under warranty.

Not sure about the speed six but im fairly sure that they are not belt driven. Drive is supplied via a jack shaft.

In my case, a woodrough key (SP) on this shaft had sheared which was a bit of an arse to replace with engine in situ although it can be done. Have a word with Andy at APM for more info.

I agree with Matt

The PAS pump, engine oil pump and water pump all sit together low down on the RH side of the engine, all driven by one jack shaft, so if you've got oil pressure, and you're not boiling over, then you can assume that the PAS pump's drive key has sheared, or it's failed internally.

water temp is fine oil pressure is normal so i guess its down to good old Warranty Holdings again. It's booked in at the dealers for the 29th if my arms can take it.

Had the same prob with my cerb. Found the low pressure hose from the tank was restricted at the pump where those nice boys a the factory bend a 5/8 pipe at 90 degrees and expect it to become an elbow??

Caused a great restriction which I had fixed and now the PAS is back!!

Turns out it was the UJ siezed replaced and feeling so much better.
