Osram Nightbreakers / Philips Xtreams are good, but a lot of the Philips are fakes on eBay.

I'm using Osrams on my car atm and while they are good... they have nothing on an HID kit.

I went for the Philips Xtremes. Had read on a few forums that the Osrams don't last too long. They are definately whiter and brighter compared to the unknown brand bulbs I removed. Got mine from

Definitely recommend using Powerbulbs, they've excellent service and their bulbs are genuine and not cheap tiawanese knockoffs.

I've seen little difference between the Oscram Nightbreakers and the Philips Xtreme in both life and brightness.

I would not recommend Halford's own-brand 80% bulbs, they were worse than the OE bulbs.

Yep - another shout for Philips XTreme bulbs from Powerbulbs!

The difference they made to my Astra was amazing.
Well worth the £27.

Plus the free Philips upgrade W5W sidelight bulbs are quite nice too - they have blue glass but are completely white.
