Speed camera in Dudley West Midlands was set alight by arsonists sometime on Wednesday night, as reported in the Express and Star.
Apparently it had a tyre hung over it and set on fire.
Police are investigating......

Question: Why is it that theyre all more than ready to "investigate" this kind of attack on their lovely cash scam cams, even using SOCO and forensics yet they give you a crime number if you report a robbery?

Seems like the priority is definitely to keep the scameras rolling but off to all those who get robbed!

Bunch of tossers!:wank:

Good point - why not just treat it like a burglary or car theft and log it down to a crime number? Why all the fuss?

And another one burnt-out at Mostyn in North Wales sometime earlier this week/last weekend. I always give a 'toot' of appreciation each time I pass.

WTF are they investigating?

Yes it was a tyre.

Was it road legal and was it a remould?

Probably because more damage and don't want people think they can get away with. But you got a point?

Of topic do remoulds last less long or what pit fall of them?

It's because these cameras are doing the job that the policemen/women should be doing and, therefore, this was a vicious assault on a member of the constabulary.

Sad but true

If you are a regular user of N.Wales roads, take care in the roadworks at Sealand. Southbound lane has a Gatso which I spotted this morning. Not easily spotted.

Even though it is yellow, it gets lost in the background of other road signs and roadworks paraphernalia

Limit is 40 but keeping to it is quite difficult with a 38 ton quarry lorry with a driver on a load related bonus up your boot.

I noticed when he passed me that his number plate was so thick with mud it could not be read. Aha.

Yes, there are so many signs now that even yellow Gatsos can be overlooked, especially when the Gatso is judiciously placed very close to/partially behind one of the signs. I'm sure that would be totally accidental though .
