Does any one know where i can get some spot lights for a 1996 griff

Do you mean the driving lights?

I bought one from Racing Green recently.

I got some (the main beam spots) from Halfords. Apparently, they are TVR specific (dunno why, but there you go). Take the part number with you. Halfords told me there is a warehouse full of them somewhere. They are pricy - £50 each IIRR.

bloomin heck there was a shortage of them (apparently) a few years ago and suppliers were charging nearly double that

Thought it was a standard Lucas part. Seem to remember getting one from the local Lucas place, took it in and the guy recognised a number on it.

£50 is a lot less than I paid from one of the usual TVR parts suppliers.

The replacements I got were Cibie (or something like that) which I think were OE fitted to the 500's

I seem to recall they were the same as fitted to eighties 3 series BMW

Hi all,

The originals on most 500's are cibies and have been discontinued, however you can still get them from racing green or clever trevor ( if they still have them in stock!) for approx £90 per lamp!

Some griffs (early ones?) had Hella lamps (yes the same as e30 BMWs, mk3 capris, etc), these are available from German,Swedish,French car parts "GSF" approx £50 per lamp.

I have just won a pair of the Hellas brand new and boxed off Ebay for £15 per pair delivered!!
So its probably worth a search on there.Part number 1K3 114 155-001.
