Any idea how to reset this without going to the dealer? I think the bbatttery was reconnected with the seat belt plugged in and its got confused. I tried turning the power off for 5 mins but that did not work

Thanks

You may have blown the Airbag control unit, if you have tried a master switch reset and the light has not gone out you will need to plug in with an SD2 to get to the bottom of the problem.

the chances of the ECU being blown are small, the loom runs with tollerances of 2ohms, and a voltage of -6v, so unless there was a direct source of 12v or a short to ground it is highly unlikely you have blown your ECU. The most common cause of an airbag light, in general, is a snagged or crushed wire causing a high resistance, or high resistance in a connector. In mercedes they put far too many connectors needlesley, Ferrari were far more sensible and put them where required, and nowhere else, so the chances are it is the passenge airbag deactivation swithh,

Is your a factory retro-fitted car with the switch fitted on the center tunnel below the radio or a later version with the switch on the side of the dashboard? If it is the center tunnel model, prepare for reoccourances.

Simple fix, battery switched on, key into the passenger deactivation switch, turn it both ways multiple times and jiggle it around, resistance builds up on the switch and it needs a jiggle. key out, disconnect the battery, re jiggle switch. Leave car with battery disconnected for 12 hours, re connect. If this does not work, a trip to the dealer with SD2 is needed.

PS The fact the seatbelt was plugged in wont make a difference.

Good luck

I thought i read that the 360 didn't have a manual off switch for the passenger airbag? confused

Sure it was a thread related to fitting a baby seat...

IIRC the emissions and restraint system on a 360 IIRC can be reset with most OBD diagnostic equipment (only the more bespoke systems should need a SD 2/3 box), you may want to try taking it to a decent local garage and asking them to try reseting it
