Faded Paintwork on Bonnet

My 1997 TVR Chimaera in Starmist Silver is suffering with faded paintwork on the bonnet (its a dull silver colour), weirdly the only part not fading is around the bonnet vents.

Can I try T-Cut followed by a good car wax to restore the colour or is that a big no-no when it comes to metallic paintwork on a glass fibre body?

Any advice would be welcome, thanks.

If its not around the body vents, where I would guess the paint is at its thickest I would say that T cutting may add to your issues...

We have a couple of pro body types so I am sure someone will be along in a moment with something useful to say...
