where is the big fuse

hi i was putting my raidator in for the 3 rd time and i was connecting the fans and i short circiured the fans i think big fuse is gone where is it and where can i find it and how can i access it ?

Battery cover off, fuse is in a black plastic box on top of the rear of the engine behind the air intakes...

I doubt you would of blown the big fuse ( 100 amp ), this is really for the charging circuit. Check your fuses in the boot. That or you got the wires on the wrong way.

i cant find the black box ??i looked behind the air boxes there is no black box there is a small round box with a 3 amp fuse in it next to the battry

Its quite low down at the back, in the middle, probably directly in line with the end of the window screen.

Maybe this picture will help a bit,

It's right down deep in there at the back of the engine where the V meets. Where the coil packs are mounted to.

Imagine it being just above your left leg when you are in the drivers seat ..... but you have to get at it from under the bonnet.

Obviously you have to take the front scuttle off and it sits just above the bell housing at the rear of the engine, follow the lead from the alternator if you are struggling as this goes via the 'big fuse' on its way to the battery.

Yes - A strip of metal secured by 2 small nuts, It's in a little black plastic box that's fixed to the back of the engine, in front of the starter motor, deep in the 'V'

Mind if someone has "upgraded" to the 120 A fuse then the metal strip will have a small square "blob" in the middle of it. Also you will have to completely remove the nuts as the holes on the fuse are not channeled like the 100A version. If that's as clear as mud.
