How the holy fk do these cretins come out with this crap??????

It boils my piss when they make such all encompassing brain-dead statements like this. Do they think this st out?? Does anybody do some simple maths?????

Cretiginous article said:
Around 89% of those questioned said they do not bother to change their holiday money when they get back, despite having an average of £24 left each, according to online travel agent sunshine.co.uk.....

.....The group estimates that Britons could collectively have nearly £800 million in unused foreign currency at home because of their reluctance to change it back to sterling.
£800,000,000 divided by 24 quid each means about 35 million people are involved. Really? Really truly?? Did anybody do their fkin' homework before committing this drivel to the Yahoo web page as fkin' NEWS?????????????

Or did they ask 3 returning tourists how much they have in their pocket and then invent the rest?????

But of course they use the typical news terms like 'could' and 'nearly' and 'up to or more than'

I'm going to write to that fkin' website: sunshine . bks. co and give them a piece of my mind!!!

Don't discuss. Don't reply. Don't explain anything logically to me.

I just needed to vent my spleen over something this morning, just looking at and hearing the trash that qualifies as 'news' on various websites and tv programs nowadays.

And breeeaathe........

Isn't it an average? obviously 35 million people wouldnt be involved but some individuals have maybe more than £24?.
My parents go to europe alot and my dad always has around 150 to 200 pounds worth or euros in the house.

Don't be so quick to criticise. It depends on what basis the research was done. While the adult population (classified as over-15s) of the UK is indeed 48m, it may be that they have only spoken to over-21s...

I think that number is probably true. I know a certain large Travel Agency has several hundred million of money sitting in an account which dates back to the days of traveller's cheques....they obviously have to honour them should they ever get cashed but in the meantime they are investing the money and doing very nicely out of it thank you.

A friend has stacks of dollars,a good few thousand dollars worth.

Imagine if they asked him before doing the calculations.

I usually keep my receipt from the post office, when you get back into the country they usually exchange it back for you for free... But I usually have about 50Euro's kicking about for when i'm on a connecting flight through Amsterdam or something similar... It just saves being ripped off having to use the GBP on crap rates, or using my card which charges me something like 20% handling fee...

Around 80% of UK Citizens have a passport, not all of them will use them, not all of them will use cash, some of them will be part of a family unit where Dad handles the cash etc etc ...

Is this the amount before the money changers have had a laugh. After exchanging it, probably only worth 550million
