Where to buy, roasted unsalted peanuts.
Discussion
I like me peanuts, unfortunately the salt is not good for blood pressure.
I've tried all the normal brands of salted peanuts but always go back to Tesco's value brand 30p as their cheap
and a fairly small nut, I do not like jumbo peanuts.
On my travels to various stores I never see bags of roasted unsalted peanuts, don't want to go through the palaver of monkey nuts; but have thought of washing the salt off the salted nuts, but figure they'll turn soft and mulchy.
Recommendations please

Tamore - Spotted the Ludlownut Co, earlier, but £7 + delivery bit steep.
Mobile Chicane - Hmm, never thought of that! sounds good what temp in gas oven/how long?
FastLaneGirl, Ha nice, obviously I must be too pikey to enter their doors
will have to steal a suit from a clothes line or summat

I've got a recipe for 'spicy mixed nuts' which says 45 minutes at 150C. I'd check peanuts after 30.
Have a go at this:
5 cups nuts
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/4 tsp cayenne
3 tbs oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp each of finely chopped oregano, sage, thyme, rosemary, savory and marjoram (or you can leave the herbs out)
Mix everything together, tip it into a roasting pan and bake. Keep stirring the mixture when you take it out, else it will set into a hard clump.
