I've got three or four myself which I need to get rid off.

Was thinking that ebay might be the best option, also selling singly (if the do sell) would net more dosh (presuming that there are a few buyers out there).

Still are to a certain extent. I think that the only definitive high quality version of Star Wars ep4 is on laser disc. DVD releases had all the extra gubbins, Han firing first and all that malarky.

And there is definitely something nice about holding a 12 incher in your hands ....

I'm sure that's true, but it does sound a bit gay!

Have a Pioneer CLD1950 and about 20 discs in pristine condition with another 30 or 40 that my BiL gave me that have no covers because they were flood damaged. This Includes a pristine condition copy of the Star Wars box set that has Han firing first with NO excuses.

Still use LD here.. have a Sony player that I've used for years but is still working well.

Happy to relieve anyone of LDs rather than them going to the tip, unfortunately though I'm out of the country for the next 4 weeks, so collection will be difficult!

Used to love LD's, PITA to use but they were big n shiny, the old glass ones used to smash like 78's did. They'd take an age to spin up and when they did the inertia used to suck small objects into the player.

Wonder what sort of capacity you'd get using BD technology on a 12" disc?
