I have plenty of nice shots of my Impreza (thanks GFWilliams) but thought I'd pop a pic of the pair of my cars on this forum. Suppose it's always nice to get some feedback about them - plus I have a question about the Mondeo. It needs a service (part of the buying agreement) - it wants a major service, new glow plugs, and I think the power steering pump is knackered as the wheel wobbles from side to side in a straight line. Anybody know of anywhere decent around London?

Here's the pic:

Both good cars for what they're intended for. The Ford wafts everywhere - a shed with comfort! and the Scoob rips your face off and puts a smile on your face on a twisty road (I believe I was giving DonnyMac's Maserati a workout keeping up with me on some of the backroads!) - if you fancy going for a spin in the STi I'd be happy to.

If you'd also like the full quality decent shots of the Impreza I can pop those on here too.

Pop some nice pictures up. Are you sure it needs a new power steering pump? I'd get the balancing and tracking checked first.

Is the steering wheel wobbling when you are stationary or moving? If it is when you are moving, it might possibly be unbalanced wheels or a suspension bush breaking up.

hehe

Very nice selection smile

Also I would also agree its more likely that its going to be a suspension'y issue that pas pump as pas pump would either spaz out at low revs so you suddenly cant turn very well or would just feel like you have no pas at all, its v.unlikely to cause wobbeling, thats more likely down to tracking as mentioned above.

I still don't understand how you have so much grip - sort of breaks physics!

Any time old chap. You should see it now it's got its new tyres - feels better through the corners.

As for the Mondeo, it's a very "mechanical" type of knocking coming through the steering wheel. If I let go of the wheel, it starts pulling to the left and it takes a reasonable amount of force to hold it (and keep it straight). It knocks when it's turning, but it doesn't seem to affect the car in any way.

Oh, and some more pics: (click to enlarge)

Yeah, not that many more pics hehe

This is really wierd cos I saw your Impreza on the M4 near Bristol about 4 weeks ago, saw the PH sticker and thought mmm that's a niiiiiiiice scoob; 'I wonder if i'll ever come across that car on PH'. Then a few weeks later there it is.

Lovely car; obviously an eye-catcher! Take care, Mike

Wow, I've never seen another PH member around Bristol/Somerset before. You should have given me a flash or wave biggrin although I was probably very busy singing or picking my nose hehe - if you'd like a spin I'd be happy to oblige.

Thanks for the compliment chap smile

edit: misspelled Somerset.

I was in the outside lane travelling from Surrey to Cardiff (where I've been at uni) so whizzed passed (in my 107 lol). That's really kind - I'm moving back to Surrey in July so won't be down that way much more. My brother (Rob Impreza) has a lovely '06 WRX so I'm fairly familiar to what they feel like - I can see yours is a STi PPP though cool.

All the best, Mike

That's freakishly coincidental as while I stay in Bristol on weekdays I travel back home to Morden, Surrey on weekends biggrin. Where in Surrey are you moving back to?

Your brother's got a nice Impreza, too. I think they look briliant in white.

Just outside Guildford at the parents' house - I graduated on Friday.

The white does look good! Do you take yours on trackdays?
