Watford has gone camera mad....
Discussion
Hot on the heels of the FOUR new cameras on a one mile stretch of the A412 in Garston, we now have another FOUR on the same road about 1 mile away in North Watford. Now, it's a 30 limit, shops, houses and so on, but how on earth can accident stats support EIGHT cameras on a two mile stretch of road? Presumably they're putting these up using the "existing speeding problem" excuse. One of the cameras is literally 20 feet from an existing red light camera, whilst two are behind bus stops, so if there's a bus stopped there you can't see the bloody things.
Also noticed that none of the cameras have the white markings on the road as yet (they're all rear facing Gatsos). What's the score with that?
Oh, and last time I looked they weren't listed on the Hertsdirect.org scamera location page either. Funny that....
