Bloody T Cut

Ive just spent lots of hours machining a very flat red van with T cut, then again with Mer (hard work) only to discover the paint/t cut/Mer concoction has bled under the masking tape leaving a stripe and white and red stains.
Ive tried a plastic eraser, scrubbing brush, hot water/mr muscle, peanut oil, bumper replenisher, acetone, industrial tyre cleaner and black plastic dye.
Im now running out of ideas and places to test and all to no avail.
Does anyone, please, have any ideas that arent expensive as it was a favour !

If all else fails you'll have to paint the trim.

Any pics? It's difficult to assess what you mean... a residue line normally gets removed easily with a QD spray or even water, but why you'd machine with T-cut and Mer I dunno... they're not really made for it and I don't have experience of them in those situations. Pic is best bet

Ill try to get some pics tomorrow. Basically the old boy who owns the van was sick of it being pink so bought a machine, T cut and some Mer and asked if id have a go for him and here I am in a right state !

Have you tried a clay bar - Bilt Hamber original should be sufficiently agressive enough?

Has it 'bled' onto the black plastic trim or textured bumper?

Havnt tried a bar yet, although that is a cost to me option ! and yes its the grey 'naked' plastic its bled into.

Scrap the clay bar notion - hadn't picked up on it being on the plastic trim.
You'll need white spirits and a toothbrush, but test an inconspicuous area first to make sure it doesn't damage the trim, before letting loose on the area needing treated.

Ive never found anything on plastic trim that WD40 wont get off

Sorry forgot, tried WD40 too ! Must be special Vauxhall plastic
