Hi Guys,
I have brought the front fan issue up a few times on this forum, and how my noble quickly overheats. I have had it back not a week or so and it has been fine as i haven’t really had it in traffic much.
I brought it to work for the first time yesterday and hit the bumper to bumper traffic. The temp once again started climbing, didn’t go over 100 though as i managed to get going again and build up speed.
When I hit my car park, the car was showing about 95o or just above, I thought i would check to see if the fans where spinning... They weren't!!
My first question - I would assume at this temp, the fans should be going?
My Second question - have the fans ever stopped on anyone and what potential reasons? - relay, switch, power?

I had a problem just a couple of hours after I bought mine. One of the fans had seized.
In their infinite wisdom, both fans are wired together to one 40A fuse (second big chunky one down in fusebox) and so both of them stopped working.
I was given a new fan and my dad then rewired the setup so that each fan has its own fuse.

Had a look over the weekend... Need to check how my fans have been wired.
I didnt see any 40amp fuse. Nor do i have the manual for my car

Try opening the black casement above the standard fuse holder and you will find the larger fuses. The top one is the main battery feed I believe and the one below could be the one mentioned above. Never really looked as my fans work fine

What model? You can find a wiring diagram for the 3R and the M400 in the US build manual, chapter 8. I don't know if the wiring is the same for a 2.5L car - I only know about the US 3.0L cars, so ymmv...
Did you check the relays? From the wiring diagram, it looks like relays E and F are 5-pin relays, while G and H are 4 pin relays. So, make sure you have the right ones in the right places. Do the fans turn on when you turn on the A/C? Have you checked the connectors to the fans in front, right beneath the hvac box? If the fans don't turn on with the A/C, check to see if the fans work at all - I'd use a lead off the battery or a jump pack and feed power directly to each of the fans, to make sure that they're working. If the fans work, then it's probably going to take tracing the circuits with a test light or a DMM to find the problem...

I can confirm that the fans come on when the Air Con is turned on... Should the fans come on themselves when the car gets hot? I didnt see a thermostate on the Rad - so how does the car know when they should come on?
