Morning all, I'm wondering If anyone knows any good insurance conpanies to cover my car for 1 week while I sell it? It's been off the road for a month or 2 since I bought a new car and now that it is through it's mot i will be selling it. I only need the insurance so I can take people on test drives and it probably won't even cover 50 miles in the time it is insured. Cheers

temp cover, AA, admiral or google "temporary insurance" there are loads of companies that can offer cover quite cheap as long as:

1) car isnt over 10 or 15 years old
2)driver is over 21 or 25
3) car is not modified
4) car is not worth more than X amount (varies by company)

cost about £20 per day or £50 for a week last time i used temp cover.

Admiral will only offer temp cover if you have another car fully insured with them.

Well since you've probably already have a policy for your new car,,, have you tried phoning them and asking if they can add your old car on for a couple of weeks? When i was selling the Rover after buying the ignis, Tesco insurers allowed me to insure both cars at the same time... Only cost me something like £20 for a week!

Oh... that's clever of them. Bit annoying, though. I will plug in another numberplate.

Not bad. For a Golf 2.0 it was just £16. (Compared to how much I am saving by having third party, fire and theft on my main policy.)
