I have a ring, it was my dads, who was given it by his aunt when he was about 18, It was old then its bloody old now. It was originally a belt buckle or something like that but its now worn down to a pretty basic band with a few markings where the buckle once showed.

I was given it after he died when I was 18, It has never been off my finger for more than a minute since then and never out of my sight. That is by far and away my most cherished possession.
