Motorist car-jacked at gunpoint

Armed police have arrested a man who allegedly held up a female driver at gunpoint and stole her car. The woman was pulled over near Disley, Cheshire, on the A6 at just after 1940 GMT on Thursday, after a man attempted to flag down a number of vehicles.

Her blue Renault Scenic car was then driven off at erratic speeds towards the New Mills area of Derbyshire.

A man was arrested by police after they fired a baton round when more pedestrians were threatened. The pursuit ended when the car crashed into a number of vehicles before smashing into a lamppost.

The car was surrounded by armed officers and a man was arrested.
Officers fired a baton round and the man suffered a minor injury during his arrest.
The suspect is in custody at Buxton police station.
Police say a number of people have been left traumatised by the experience.

Officers are appealing for witnesses.

[edited for leosayer: Baton Rounds are otherwise known as rubber/plastic bullets. They're designed to cause non-fatal blunt trauma, and discourage rioting scrotes from continuing their behaviour]

I think baton rounds generally do hurt, quite a lot...

Upon conviction, carjackers should quite obviously be led to a public place and subjected to a prolonged, forcible and humiliating sodomy. Preferably at high noon, with the TV cameras present.

Then I think some kind of whole-face tattoo should be administered, such that nobody will ever employ, trust or help the carjacker in any way.

I was born 350 years too late, wasn't I?...

I wonder whether that injury will contribute to the KSIs? Bet it does! - Streaky

Well if there had been a speed camera on that road it would obviously never had happened...

I don't see anything unusual about this.
Most scenics are driven by numpties.

But why would anyone one want to steal one....let alone buy one

There is a minimum distance from which baton rounds are meant to be used (can't remember how far though), as below a certain range they do have enough energy to cause fatal blunt trauma.

The Americans have been playing around with other non-lethal alternatives like bean-bag rounds (some of which can be used in a conventional 12g shotgun) and having seen tape of someone being shot with one of these, I know which end I'd rather be on!

Streaky,

If anyone took you up on that bet you've won!

One road I can think of, the only k part of the ksi statistics relates to two twoccers who, without going into more details, didn't survive a pursuit situation.

Even though the site is 1.4m away from the SCP regular mobile site this fatac is included.... (see quote below)

They also have 10 Bore rounds filled with 9mm rubber balls rather than shot. Same as the beanbag round, you wouldn't want to be on the recieving end.

I cant understand something.

While I think all car jackers should be poked in the eye really hard with a broomhandle, why the hell did he go after a Renult Scenic?!?!

Its not like its a classic, an expensive or a collectable or something.

He put his whole life into prison to nick a school-mum-run mobile?! Deserves more than prison just for that....

Probably know most of the " Scrotes" that live there and hate them all with a passion , and would love to meet them again NOT

.........and my ex was the daughter of the mayor of New Mills !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
