As above really, post pics or details of any current or future modifications.

I'm currently in contact with Harold (Yobokies) and trying to come up with what I want, but there's too many options!

You've just given me a kick up the pants to crack on with this G Shock 'Stealth' project.

This is how it started :

This is how it ended months ago before it got shoved in a drawer :

I reversed the LCD but it looked crap, and there was a ton of lint underneath the face. I've just properly reversed the LCD with fresh polarizing film, and cleaned it all up properly with the missuses nail polish remover. Nicely stunk the kitchen out in the process.

I boiled the strap and bezel and got a decent amount of the white paint off, I'll get some black dye soon and make a proper mess and finish it all off.

I'm heading for something like this :

No paint and black LCD.

I hope, otherwise I'm about to trash a decent beater.

Oooh nice thread potentially...

I've just bought a 7002 that I'm not sure what to do with. Also have that black "Mini Monster" Seiko 5 that a few PH'ers bought last year that I want to do something with.

Funnily enough i've been looking into Yobokies' wares this week and some of the mods look awesome - and great VFM!

I haven't contacted him yet....what's the deal? Do you supply the watch for modding or does he source one from new?

I think i'm after something like a modded Night Monster like this one, but not sure if they are even still available new?

but i also fancy these....

The idea of picking dials/hands/colours to create a unique watch really appeals! wink

Does this include one-off homages?

Well, as I understand it, he can either supply the watch as new and modify it to your spec or you can send him a watch for him to modify or he can just send you the required parts and you do the rest yourself.

Just looking at the GMT master and spotted:

'All watches are presented with the original manufacturers Box, Papers & Accessories, a Project X Certificate of Customization and 2 year Project X Guarantee against mechanical failure.'

If it was to fail after 2 years would rolex take it back to repair even though it has been pulled apart and customized by these guys?

Rolex do not service any non standard watches. Howver, they will quote to service on the condition that the non-standard parts are replaced. Which on a Project X watch will leave you just the original movement and possibly glass....

My "Loyswatch" 7002 arrived from the Philippines today.
"Scubapro 500" modded dial.

Will be going on black or Bond NATO as soon as I get a spare one.

Some of you may have seen these on TZ. Still waiting for either an oyster bracelet or 22mm NATO to put this on.

Meanwhile it sits in its box waiting...

Which could be for a while as I just purchased this:

A "Poor Man's Big Pilot" that a TZ'er built using a 46mm Getat case, a Seagull movement and a very nice dial/hand combo.

Should land in the next few days and I'm sure it will pop up on the Wrist Check thread. smile
