Had a bit of jaunt out yesterday for work (260'ish miles round trip), got stuck in traffic on the M6 on the way back so missed the footy, so decided to take a "longer" route back on some country lanes. 
Glad I did as out of junction pulled one of these, in this colour
Been a fan of them for ages and this is the first one I've seen in the flesh. Really love the ethos behind the vehicle, as in a road legal desert racing truck with long travel suspension and high speed cornering ability.
Some reviews say it's a bit wide, and this in the US!!!
but despite being a country lane (B road) it didn't seem so big to me, there was plenty of room on their side of the white line, and the other wheels were hardly touching the verge

For a mere quarter of the price you could have something British, being British it will probably rust lots but have superior British build quality, and not only that, it is British.

I believe these came with 2.0 Pinto engine, found in many British automobiles, and a fine British engine, again this is also British, or you could even drop the British Essex V6 engine which I believe was made in Englandland for British fords, not to be confused with the British Cosworth who made British cars, mainly Fords go fast for British people, although a British Cosworth engine could fit into the British Sierra pickup, as it is British after all.
Or a Mini pickup, the Mini of course being British, I assume you have thought about buying something oddball and British?
