Now I'm not planning on holding up the local post office...but having recently watched the new Italian Job, it got me thinking what would be the best getaway vehicle, to evade capture by the police in pursuit. Specifically in a large city, with a mixture of congested narrow streets and the occasional faster stretch. So a combination of speed, agility and reasonable dimensions I guess.

Minimum criteria:

- At least two seats
- Enough luggage space for the loot
- Able to go over speed bumps and mount the odd pavement

Suggest away!

Tough call.

Either a Audi RS4 or M5

or you could go old school and get one of these

the mk2 MR2 turbo might be ok, with 2 boots for space and having it's wheels planted under the engine I suspect it would make a decent getaway untill you got round to ditching for the pre aranged Corsa (would be invisible) then maybe a small ford transit and once you put a high vis jacket on you're automattically invisible, who ever questions a man in high-vis? He's obv supposed to be doing whatever he is doing.

this has sooooo been done before.

I think it ended up being a mazda mps or any audi rs series.

I would go for a Helicopter myself.

Any reasonable sized silver coloured anonymous looking thing with a V6, turbo or bigger in it e.g. silver or grey 3/5 series beemer, A4, skoda octavia, V6 mondeo, whatever performance version there is of the insignia that I can't be arsed googling.

Bland and innocuous is the key - easy to hide, easy to blend in.

A Ducati Hypermotard/Other Supermoto style bike, and a rucksack.

You can fit a a lot of cash or diamonds in a Rucksack, and you'd be able to ride up/down steps, through walkways, etc etc. Not a lot is gonna catch you on something like that.

Judging by what the actual thieves use, probably an Evo or an RS4

In a more rural environment I'd probably go for a Cayenne Turbo. Potentially unstoppable

Close, check the wheels. They are correct for the vehicle.
