New MOT certificate is wrong

Just got back from the garage having had a service and MOT done.

Good news is that the MR2 passed.

Bad news is that when I took a look at the cert once I got home, I noticed that they had put the old reg number on the certificate which they must have still had on their system from the previous MOT(I changed to a cherished numb plate last year).

Anyway,to my questions:

Can I leave it and still get my road tax as VIN and other details are correct?

And if not will they be able to simply correct the mistake and issue a corrected certificate?

Yep, just pop back to the MOT station tomorrow (with your V5 - just in case) and they'll be able to re-issue a corrected certificate.
