Apart from some body mounting bits the Sport and GTR are the same chassis and running gear.
The Sport comes either with the wing as part of the body or with a separate wing on a pylon mounted to the rear of the chassis.

Not quite. The sports has a different chassis construction, lighter and stiffer. Body fitment is much worse compared to the GTR. Generally I find the sport more raw, and closer to the old group C designs.
The chassis of the sports has different longitudinal lower tubing, more triangulation in the side and rear section, better construction of the cross sectional stiffness due to more tubing and triangulation just behind/under the dash. That is also the reason I have more trouble fitting the airconunit in my sport.
When I started out with my project I first wanted a GTR, but now I'm glad I got a sport, just because it's chassis is the original Noble design. The GTR has the Marlow construction modifications.

Yours must be a very early Sport. I purchased probably one of the last Sport chassis made. Once I had paid my deposit for a Sport, in 1998, Ted told me that a new body, called the GTR, would be available "next year", which would fit onto the Sport chassis with only minor modifications to the radiator housing and the front and rear clip mountings. When It came time to order my body, I chose the GTR. Ted came and took my rolling chassis back to the factory, where the chassis was modified and the body pre-fitted (in fact the body fitting shown on the company web site is my car) The car was then returned at no cost to me!

Having helped Keith (ditto) to dismantle and rebuild his GTR recently, I can say that my chassis is identical to his.

Yes, mine is a very early one, but I also looked at a later silver one which I inspected, and it had the same chassis. I also inspected the GTR chassis, so I can only talk from memory of seeing these cars I mentioned.
