What car £7k ish?

Been living in the USA for the past 12 months and ready to return home, with wife and baby.

Will have about 7K to spend, wife wants something practical with baby seat + buggy and I am a bit of a badge snob, performance isnt so much of priority for me right now, reliability and value for money is!

I really don't have much clue about family cars! I do like Auto (waiting for the barrage of abuse) because it is just so much easier! And most of my driving will be around town but still want a good sized vehicle.

I'm thinking maybe a 4/5 year old 320D, or an A4?

Ins group less than 15 would be great.

Sure, you said your are a badge snob but then say you are looking at budget Audi's and repmobil BMW's - maybe a more classy badge is needed
