How Many Tamora's Exist?

Just a daft question how many Tamora's were built?

Im looking at getting an open top car, had the usual boxster 997's and fancy something different which the Tamora ticks most the boxes (dubious front end styling apart) that im looking for, however not many seem to be up for sale.

Probably no more than 300 and some of those will have been written off by now. Later post 2003? on fronts look better IMHO with the staggered lower lamps . I'd have said the rear is more aesthetically challenging but I think darker colours help I nearly went for one over T350 but missus said I couldn't have softtop (or a red un) so had to make do with the t350

Once you've got it spruced up and shiney you won't think that at all I can guarantee it. There's lots of wonderful curves in the bodywork design that elude the photos.

They do have a Targa version - it gives a great open air space, which ticks the wind in the hair box......................

In all honesty I quite like the front end on both - its the rear of the Tamora that really 'bothers' me. While the Swiss-Cheese rear on the T350 isn't fantastic, its much nicer than the Tam.

One thing that I've always pondered, however - is the Tamora compromised in terms of chassis rigidity due to not having a roof? Any scuttle shake etc?

No, all of the T cars are on the same space frame chassis. (If you're splitting hairs you could possibly argue that maybe the T350's rollcage attached to the rear wheel arches adds some rigidity but it's high weight is also a problem. Hmmm.)

I think Tamora's are fantastic cars but I'm not biased

Think there were 375 built before production was stopped.

Can't say I've experience scuttle shake in the Tamora as in terms described on the net. It can feel a little skitty over bumps but I thought that's just because it was very light. You'd soon forget about that anyway.

The Tamora rear end does not look at all bad in the flesh. With all the T cars, your looking at riotous styling - imagination not being held back by the limitations of bending steel. There's no ugly, just different. Certainly my T350T has nothing approaching scuttle shake for having holes cut in the roof; fibreglass cars do NOT use the body as a structural member.

Funny how you hear different things from different people. I heard there were 1500 tamora's made and that is a vastly greater the than 375. Does anyone truly know the production number?
I love all the design of my tam, even the back end :-)

I supect no one will be able to give you a verifiable answer. It is my understanding that the number is under 400 so no real reason not to believe the figure of 375.

I agree with John. 1500 is more like an over-the-top guess at the total number of Tamoras, T350s and Sagarises built.

I like the back end styling alot its like nothing else on the road!

Going to have to start looking about at them a bit but looks like it may take a good while to find the right car as so few are up for sale.

I do have an IMG of a spreadsheet of productions numbers. Open to a little debate, but the source was likely as accurate as any numbers you'll find. It's been posted before.
