Media streaming to TVs

With these new clever internet-connected TVs (I know Sony and Samsung both do them) can you stream directly from a UPnP mediaserver (NAS)?

You definitely can with some out there, not sure about Samsungs or Sonys specifically.

Yes, but you'll find that the dnla support from most isn't great ie. no ffwd/rwd support.

My tv (Philips 47PFL9964) has this feature but only supports pause/play/stop. Instead I stream using a PS3. Infinitely better interface.
