No pound sign

Hi, this one for Ted I think.
When I post the pound symbol shows as a ?
I though it was just me but I see others have the same problem.

Can you see the pound sign below?

Sounds like it could be your local(e) settings.

I had a similar problem a few days ago... but now works fine.

I'm running Firebird on OS-X on a Powerbook if it makes any difference.
