I need to take 5 Grams of a powder, its consistency is like flour if that helps. How many heaped teaspoons is that roughly? Im guessing 1?

I did this recently too. I found a teaspoon to be about 3.5 and a flat tablespoon to be 5. I just got a spoon put it on the scales zero'd them added the powder and weighed again. Anything that falls off doesnt matter as long as its on the weigh plate. TBH I regretted not buying the plastic scoop.

5ml is 5 grams if we're talking water. Isn't it?

1l is 1kg

However, what we need to know is how dense is the substance. you could get gold powder to be like flour but a tablespoon would be a lot heavier than flour for example.

Yes water is 1kg/l, you need to know the density of the powder.
Or alternatively if you need to do it often by a small set of digital scales.
