I've been wondering how did Ascari manage to abstract 500-625 hp from the M5's S62? confused I mean the E39 is producing 400hp which in itself is a mouth watering proposition but 625.... That really is something. Anyway does anyone know how they have done this and weather or not this could be done to your 'normal' E39 M5. I'd love to see that! smokin

There's your clue. . . . . . . wink

I can't see why you find it hard to understand a tuning company getting 100bhp per litre for a NA engine. Honda have done it for decades.

ETA - sorry, I read S62 as 6.2 in AMG-speak. Nonetheless it's not an amazing NA output per litre these days. smile

No you miss my point, I was merely asking how they have gone about getting that performance from the engine, in terms of modifying the S62 unit in terms of the headers and the block etc. Does anyone know the specifics. read
