Has anyone else tasted this?
I picked up a couple of bottles from the supermarket the other day and it's absolutely delicious. Considering most bottled lager tastes awful these days it was a refreshing change.

Brewed with water from Les Vosges mountains in Alsace, malted barley, the choicest hops and the special yeast fermentation, Kasteel Cru is a deliciously crafted lager which combines strength with a lightness of touch. Perfectly inspired by the quest to capture the uniquely rich and diverse characteristics of France's 'petit jardin' in a fine lager, the satisfying reward of a great beer body is introduced by the brightest, lively head and finished with the crisp, clean promise of more to come.
I'll be getting some more tonight for the weekend.Edited by Arese on Friday 25th June 17:04

Isn't this the lager that is made with champagne something or other? If so, then yes I've supped lots of it.
I believe it is. Supping some now, delicious. It's £1.8x in the supermarket, so not cheap. Asda, dare I say it, are doing 3 for £5 at the moment.I just need some Kasteel Cru glasses now, as I'm using a Cusquena one and it doesn't do it justice!

You won't regret it.Edited by Arese on Friday 25th June 20:24
There's a Belgian beer called Kasteel (Castle) as well, they do a blond, bruin and a fruity number in the summer season.
All are very tasty, but to be consumed with caution! They are the equivalent of belgian special brew at between 10-12% so tend to creep up and smack you in the head.
The bruin used to be my favourite Belgy beer tipple

Went back to Waitrose today and they have them for £1-82 a 330ml bottle. Will definitely buy them again.
Waitrose cheaper than Asda, who would have thunk it?I'm having a small BBQ with a couple of friends soon, so I'll stock up for that I think. I hope they bloody appreciate it.

£31.50 for 24 bottles. £1.31 each.
