This Football Event - Am I odd?
Discussion
I'm slightly ashamed to say I don't think I can name a single England player, is that Wayne Rooney playing? Maybe I've just named one! The manager is that Italian bloke with the glasses - Fabio somebody? The previous manager was that nice Swedish bloke I think. Why can't they have an English manager anyway?
I've just written down the full extent of my knowledge. I do know they're playing Germany on Sunday, I might even watch it because of the atmosphere thing - it'll probably be the kiss of death if I watch it though. On the other hand the roads will be nice and quiet.........
Should I be taking more interest? Does anybody else on here share my lack of knowledge about the "beautiful game"
?
Edited to add, I hope the mods don't move this to the sport section where I'll be badly mauled!!

I'm with you. No interest in football, whatsoever. In fact, the complete opposite, a negative interest, if you will.
The World Cup has led to Rest Day cancellations and blocked leave at work, so my planned trip to France on the motorbike has had to be postponed.
The sooner it's over, the better, IMHO.

Motogp at Assen tomorrow,British Superbikes from Mallory Park on Sunday, F1 in Spain also on Sunday, bees buzzing on the telly while I sleep later on.
Some pointless prancing and grunting (mostly by the women) for the next week that has some Scottish bloke being "adopted" by sunburnt (for a change) Londonners.
The lads at work keep going on about South Africa, but the World Supers were there a couple of months ago, so that can't be it.

The Grand Prix is on Sunday and we'll be back from Breakfast Club at Goodwood just in time to watch the beginning of the coverage. Football? I think that's on the other channel.
So you would rather watch paint dry than support your nation in the world cup?RegMolehusband said:

Should I be posting on PH to say what I have no interest in?
Exactly. Sad person who feels the need to moan about what 90% of the world is interested in...
