Diff Ratio's

How can you tell what ratio is fitted in your car?
From what I understand there are a couple of different ratios 3.7* and a 3.4*. I would have thought it would be on the little plate around the filler bolt but mine just says "LSD High performance use recommended oils" Will it be stamped anywhere else?

I could probably work it out by spinning a wheel and counting the turns compared to the drive shaft but not sure how obvious the difference between .4 and .7 would be!!

Mine is a 2000 4.5lw so am assuming it is a hydratrack but how can I tell?

I am pretty sure that there is another little plate with some info stamped on it. It will most likely be the standard ratio though.

the more times you turn the wheel the more obvious the difference.
turn the wheel 10 times and the prop should turn 37 or 34 times
use a little correction fluid (tippex) to give a nice clear marker

Anybody know anymore about the ratios? And which was used when and in which cars?

I'm sure all v8 cerbera are fitted with the 3.45 diff. The 3.7 was on the Tuscan race cars and the later t models. Although I'm not sure what diff the speed 6 cerbs had.

I have p!ssed about with the diffs, and 3.45 was the stocker, i have swapped to a 3.08, because of my increase in torque.

I have a different diff on my car (and different gear box). All in all it improves acceleration but reduces top speed.
