Ive been looking to get a BMW 330d M Sport now for a few weeks and have come across this one on the site.

It seems quite a bargain to me and something must not be quite right! And its been there for 30days!

Does the car look consistant with a 48k car? Oh and this is what the HPi told me about the mileage although the seller insists its just a hiccup in HPi's system.

We have the following mileages recorded for this registration:
• 48,988 miles recorded on 13 May 2010
• 48,925 miles recorded on 7 May 2010
• 80,000 miles recorded on 25 Jun 2007
• 79,984 miles recorded on 31 May 2007
• 74,929 miles recorded on 14 Mar 2007
• 67,217 miles recorded on 5 Dec 2006
• 66,040 miles recorded on 24 Nov 2006
• 64,221 miles recorded on 31 Oct 2006
• 55,496 miles recorded on 25 Jun 2006
• 48,138 miles recorded on 23 Mar 2006
• 42,319 miles recorded on 9 Jan 2006

It's been damaged repaired, and also there is evidence of it having being clocked.....hardly a bargain of any kind....wouldn't go near a car like that.

It's also a cat D.

Possibility of being clocked and a cat D...... I'd walk away.

Ignoring this example it really is a cracking car possible to do mid 50s mpg over a tank at motorway speeds - if I actually tried an Eco run would be interesting but I bought it for pace and good economy for the power. I'm not willing or have the desire to run a full tank at hypermiling.

The only compromise is noise sure it's miles better than any 4 banger dagdag but it's leagues behind a 330i sound wise so I simply accept that fact and actually when driving without music at mway speeds you cannot hear the engine at all more tyre rumble. However I always have radio or iPod on in which case you can never hear the engine.

If you drive it hard the noise IMHO gets better a real growling.

I'll have mine for a total of 4 years but am 6 months in. So far replacements I'm seriously considering the 245bhp 330d... Enough said. Of course I'd love a big power petrol but couldn't justify it as a commuter and one car does all. Maybe if I extend the drive I might convince the wife one day there really is roo
for an RS2 or anything rare and exotic.

Value it at 148k miles and no services for three years. Still want it?
