Alfa 166 - Electic Window help needed
Discussion
Yesterday, my 166's driver door electric windows decided to play up. It had worked 1st thing in the morning, but on my communte it chose to stop working and make a nasty mechanical noise when I tried to lower it.
After some messing about, I managed to get the window to lower but then something when snap and that's where it stayed.
So, today I've removed the doorcard and the foam sheet in the door and manually lifted the glass back up so that the car is secure. Unfortunatly I've found this in the door -> http://twitgoo.com/15egib
This means I have a window which I can raise and lower by hand and an electric motor which works but isn't connected to the windows/regulator. However, for security and safety I've tied the two arms of the regulator together with wire so that I don't have a window suddenly dropping while I drive.
Are there any guides to repair this? Is it possible to repair rather than replace?
Cheers,
DC

Try on AO - linky
Thanks, I have already though. There seems to be a lot on there about getting the door card off and fixing the cental locking but very little detail on fixing windows. I also expect everyone is enjoying the weather, so replies will be slow until Monday
