MP4-12C dealer shindig
Discussion
Saw the car and had long discussion with some very helpful guys from McLaren at their Zurich dealership today. Please excuse the rubbishy phone photos:

These are the middle option wheels, there are some hollow spoke forged items, a bit lighter, and the ones to have as far as I'm concerned.

The guys from Woking were very knowledgeable, helpful & enthusiastic about the car, and I got the feeling they would have stayed talking to me for ages longer. Makes a refreshing change. Specced both a white pearl and a black pearl car (with small orange flecs in the paint). Refundable deposit of CHF 50k subject to seeing how the car drives in January, with first deliveries around end Q1 or early Q2. Servicing 1 year of 15,000km. 600bhp/600lbft, with I think 80% of torque available from around 2000rpm. Attention to detail is stunning (eg. engine/gearbox is 2cm lower than in the 458). Recent track test in Spain had the car 1.5-2 secs a lap quicker (on a 60s lap) than a 458. Key for me is if it is not only quick but also involving. They say the sound track is more deep bassy more like the Lambo V10 than the Ferrari V8. There's a cool "telemetry" option which has front and rear cameras that write to an internal hard drive, with data, and you can email or bluetooth the video files to a PC. Amalgam models also do a 1/8 scale car already, saw it today. There are some niggles: odd little panel either side of the windscreen which they might (possibly) integrate into other panels, and the high sills of the carbon tub are covered in carpet which I think will wear and look pretty tatty. It is a bit of an understated looking car, but the black pearl/black wheels, orange interior, stealth option rear with CF everywhere looks great

Excellent, thanks for posting. Car looks awesome! IMO so much better than the Ferrari 458.These are the middle option wheels, there are some hollow spoke forged items, a bit lighter, and the ones to have as far as I'm concerned.
