BMW RECOVERY

i have an e60 m5, it has started cutting out, and today my wife took it away on a bit of a trip and it cut out 5 times an a 50 mile trip so i told her to ring the bmw warranty people to recover the car,they turned up and looked at the car but because the car was running good (every time it cuts out it will start again and run well for a while)they refused to recover the car.i rang the recovery people and they said "run the car until it cuts out and then dont start it again"
great news when your wife is 100 miles away and dont trust the car
