Does this occur if the car has been unused for a bit (Mk1)? What are the symptoms/cures? thanks CS

My front calliper seized and had to be replaced. Symptoms are a constant friction sound when driving, the car not rolling back or fourth on slight inclines or declines and the affected wheel / brake disc being warm / hot. Car also drinks even more petrol than usual.

ok thanks, would you expect them to be a bit sitcky if car is not used for a bit? Will it resolve it self with use?

Maybe & maybe. It is a weakness on these cars but some cars suffer and some don't, you'll just have to wait & see smile
