Had it 6 months now, tis my first car, cost me a grand, insurance is only £400 with a £75 excess and I'm only 18, tax exempt etc. What do you think?

it's on a classic policy so it's just cheaper anyway

black and silver plates will be put on eventually, gotta get it through the MOT next week first.

No you can get a classic policy from 17 onwards. Sometimes the online quote forms only work if your over a certain age, often 25, but if you ring them up it's fine.

does depend on the company though. I know for a fact Flux, and Footman James will insure 17 year olds up. I'm with Footman James, could have got an even cheaper quote of £350 if I wanted limited mileage.

Fit.

I wish I'd known about classic policies when I was 17. Unfortunately my Mum put an age limit on my car because she knew for sure that I would crash it (I didn't) and wanted me to be safe, so my insurance cost upwards of £2000.

Congratulations though.
