Compensation? They should have left his teeth alone and taken his gums out instead!

Crime doesn't pay?

Triple murder does though, especially if your filling falls out and it hurts.

What a bl**dy joke!

To be fair, there is some element of doubt as to whether they did it seeing as they were convicted on the testimony or a rather dodgy witness.

many people who know about the incident think those in jail are innocent of the crime.

And even if guilty, bumping off a bunch of fellow thugs/dealers/gang-bangers is fair game in my view - or did the movie get it all wrong?

Do you mean Rise of The Foot Soldier? It got a few things wrong (as I understand wink ) but the general gist that the deceased were a trio of horrible stbags was indeed correct.

tucker tate and rolfe where indeed nasty pieces of work.
they upset quite a few people including the infamous canning town mob.

the whole trial was based on testimony from a total lying scumbag who gained immunity for his own crimes.

I have read about the case intently, read all of O'mahoneys books as well as blogs 19 by Tony Thompson and in my opinion Steele and Whomes did not carry out the killings. They were heavily involved in drug importation and on the face of it Steele had motives to do it (Tate making threats to kill Steele being one) but the conviction rested on the testimony of a self confessed liar, thief and grass who was not only involved with a bent copper (DC Bird) but had plenty of reason to implicate Whomes and Steele to save his own bacon. Steele may have had his sentence reduced if he admitted the murders but protests his innocence to this day. Tate, Tucker and Role were scum of the highest order and had ripped off many "faces" so they were on borrowed time as it was. My money would be on Kenny Noye who had lent Tate a substantial sum of money to set up a drug deal.

I once sat in the back of a black Mercedes in a pub car park while Tate and Tucker gave me a bit of a talking to, a sort of "We would like you to find this out for us or else" chat! Not the most comfortable experience!

Thanks for this link - a fascinating read and proof, if it were ever needed that, if you live by the sword.....

I'm guessing that there's all kinds of dirt that never got into the public domain.

He's even holding his tooth in that pic, and that was years ago.
