Standard Griff louder than 100dB?

Hi - I want to do a track day at Abingdon but the noise limit is 100dB. Anyone know what a standard Griff is?
Mine is standard apart from Cam and does "crack and pop" on overun so I thought this may blow the 100dB limit. Anyone know anything about this?

My 1994 Grif 500 was measured at 96 - 98 db at Bedford. That's at 4000 RPM, 1m from exhaust. Standard exhaust.

Yes, a standard 500 should be under 100db.

Good stuff! Where are you in the Midlands? If you are near Telford I can noise test the car to give you a good idea of the likely level before the event.

Mine is standard, always tests at 97/98db on trackday tests.

The normal test is measured at 2/3 maximum revs. Obviously you only rev to 5000 or maybe 5200.

In reality the power is probably all over by then anyway
